On July 20, 2010, I sneaked out a time from my busy data collection activities to go for mushroom hunting with my wife and Mr. Jigme Wangchuk (Sr. Forest Ranger). We collected about 3 kilograms of two different kinds of edible mushroom. The common names of those mushrooms collected were “ROMA SHAMU and SELE SHAMU”. Both the mushrooms were tasty but given a chance I would prefer later one.
On the midst of Spruce forest (2900 meters above sea level) we saw the mushroom in picture. It looks like Jelly Fish attached on the Spruce branches. It is soft filled by gel like stuff. It is a strange mushroom I have ever seen in my life.
