Scientific Name: Aethopyga ignicauda Family: Nectariniidae It is found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal and Thailand. This picture was taken 14 th June, 2010 below Chajeyna, at an altitude of 4450 meters. The bird obtained its name because of its bright colored tail. It has wide range of natural habitat, from sub-tropical to sub-alpine zone of Bhutan.
